Tuwai (#130) is a Wind Starter Temtem.

Description[]

Physical Appearance[]

Tuwai resembles a toucan. Its main color scheme is navy and green. A large tuft protrudes from the back of its head, and its eyes are round with a white sclera, light orange pupil and white highlights. It has a large toucan beak which is divided into pink and orange halves; the pink half is closer to the face. The head is navy near the top and green near the bottom. The green stretches out to cover its entire body, except for its stomach patch, which is cream-colored, and bird wings, which are navy with cream ends. Its tail has two feathers and is green with triangular navy tips. It has two small navy ellipses near the start of both of its legs. Its legs and feet are orange and bird-like, with two toes.

Professor Konstantinos described Tuwai as “taxonomically Wind, but also the only Denizan Temtem with meta-mimetic properties.” He theorized about the possibility of Tuwai changing dramatically “if the relevant Place of Power” could be found.

Name Origin[]

Tuwai's name is derived from Tukana (Toucan in Hawaiian) and Wai (Juice in Hawaiian).
